About This Website

We are your neighbors. Join us by promoting good information.

The Spruce Park Action, Resources, and Knowledge website, www.sparkabq.com , was created by the SPARK* Working Group.   to provide a full and transparent source of information regarding the Historic Protection Overlay proposed by the City of Albuquerque for much of the neighborhood.

All members of the SPARK* Working Group are residents of the neighborhood, and although many of us are taking advocacy positions opposing the proposed Overlay, this website is intended to be neutral, with a goal of providing our neighborhood with the information it needs to help the City make an informed decision regarding the Overlay, one way or the other.  Visit www.no-hpo.com for a perspective presented in opposition to the proposed overlay.

The website is maintained by volunteers of the SPARK* working group at their own expense.  For more information about the SPARK* working group, contact Peter Swift (email address:  pnswift@comcast.net).
